Trusting in Truth with Your Instincts

It was the middle of summer, and many schools opened their doors for special events like the moon landing, recognizing its historical significance. Back then, there weren’t many TVs. Teachers and students gathered in school classrooms to witness the momentous occasion together.
I still remember sitting in one of those classrooms, my eyes glued to the TV as the astronaut took his first steps on the moon. Walter Cronkite’s calm, steady voice narrated the moment, and the excitement of the teachers and other students was contagious.
Years later, rumors began circulating that the moon landing had been a hoax, that it was all staged. For a brief moment, I wondered if it could be true. But as I thought back to that day and reflected on Walter Cronkite’s character—his dedication to honesty and truth—I knew my answer. Having been there that day, with Cronkite reporting it, I believed it. The moon landing was real, no matter what others might say.
That’s the advice I want to share: trust your own judgment. Don’t let others easily sway you, and before you change your mind about something important, give it careful thought. The world is full of skepticism, and it’s up to you to discern what is true. Trust your instincts, and let your values guide you.
